An uplifting visual correlation between children and the future of South Africa pre-Nelson Mandela. I delight in how children live in the moment, whatever their circumstances, and consider this to be a gift that adults tend to lose. Unfortunately, many children are innocent heirs to a previous generation's harsh legacy. Children must inherit a world they can be proud of rather than one that needs to be patched up. As a parent, I feel distressed about children who live in poverty and hope that these photographs will somehow document hope within the history of a country trying to overcome poverty. Exhibited in 2008, "Children of Geluk" formed part of an exhibition called "A Childs Gaze" | Thompson Gallery - Johannesburg.


On a winter’s day in 1984 “photography” and I met quite by accident, an encounter that redirected my life and changed it forever. Over the past twenty-eight years, while walking a path of self-discovery, my methodology has taken numerous detours. If you require framing, please get in touch with us after making your print purchase, and we will provide a quote depending on the size type of framing style you are interested in. It's best to send us a picture of your wall, and we will send back options to consider. Packaging and shipping of frames within South Africa are billed at a flat rate of $50 (R690) per item for door to door delivery. The courier cost for frames to all other countries will be quoted for client approval.
