This mannequin has found a lease on life. Instead of being used to show off fashion down at the mall, this mannequin has been dressed in army clothes and is being used to draw attention to an informal traders stall selling pot plants on the side of the road in Pretoria.

On a winter’s day in 1984 “photography” and I met quite by accident, an encounter that redirected my life and changed it forever.
