Abandoned No.29

ABANDONED No.29

This abandoned print has proved to be very popular in the collection. Peter Corbett, a fellow photographer and friend told Martin Osner about an abandoned aeroplane he had spotted out in the countryside. Not knowing that it was military property, Osner was briskly escorted off the grounds without taking a shot. After contacting the officer commanding the unit Martin finally got permission to return to photograph it for this collection. The story as to why the aeroplane was out of commission in an area where there is no runway, standing in the middle of a forest, remains a mystery.

These items have a relatively short shelf life, soon they will be traded in for a new model and their journey towards insignificance commences ... Read More >>

A journey that has refined a relaxed subconscious attitude, with a desire to express simplicity and honesty through my work. For me, a photograph holds an undeniable sense of realism, a new correlation that is easy to associate with. I see I understand; I experience, I connect. In my photography, I allow day to day life to provide inspiration ... Read More >>
